Answer:

let present age of nephew be X.

Now, uncle's present age will be 27+X.

After 10 Years nephew age will be 10+X.

And that of Uncle will be 10+(27+X).

now we can evaluate:

10+27+X=2(10+X)

37+X =20+2X

37-20 = 2X-X

17 = X

NOW WE CAN SAY THAT:

NEPHEW'S AGE IS 17 YEARS

&

UNCLE'S PRESENT AGE IS: 27 +17

= 44 YEARS

Given :- Uncle Johny is 27 years older than his nephew . 10 years from now, he will be twice as old as his nephew .

To Find :- How old is each now ?

Solution :-

Let us assume that, present age of uncle johny is x years .

So,

→ Present of of uncle johny = x years

then,

→ 10 years from his age will be = (x + 10) years

and,

→ Present age of his nephew = (x - 27) years

then,

→ 10 years from now his nephew age will be = (x - 27) + 10 = (x - 17) years

A/q,

→ Uncle johny after 10 years = 2 × Nephew age after 10 years

→ (x + 10) = 2(x - 17)

→ x + 10 = 2x - 34

→ 2x - x = 10 + 34

→ x = 44 years .

therefore,

→ Present age of uncle johny = x = 44 years

Present age of his nephew = (x - 27) = 44 - 27 = 17 years .

Hence, Uncle johny is 44 years old now and his nephew is 17 years old now .
