Under favourable condition, hydra reproduces  by budding method.

Budding is the method of asexual reproduction in which the body of organisms develop an outgrowth called bud. The bud grows and develops as an organ, and on becoming fully matured, it detaches from the parent body to develop into new individual.

It occurs in unicellular as well as in some lower multicellular organisms.

Other organisms that reproduce through budding are sponglla, yeast, jellyfishes, sea anemones, obelia etc
