Under ordinary condition, water occurs in liquid state.

  • There are three main physical states for any kind of substance. Those states are - solid, liquid and gas.
  • The water is a substance which can exist in all of the above mentioned three physical states.
  • But, in ordinary condition (normal pressure and normal room temperature) the water stays in it's liquid form.
  • With the temperature increase or decrease, the water may change into steam or ice respectively.
