You can see that the answer makes sense by changing the solution from radical form to decimal form (5 √5 = 11.18...). If you look at the perfect squares I've listed up top (121 & 144), you see that 125 (our radicand in the question) is between 121 and 144, so the answer will be between their square roots, 11 & 12.

You can find it by prime factorisation...
For example take 125
5 125 ( divide each
5 25 number by 5)
5 5

= 5×5×5
You can assume one "5" for a pair of "5"
(5×5×5 can be assumed as 5×5, 4×4×4×4 can be assumed as 4×4)
Since there are three "5"s we can assume it as two "5"s .
The remaining one "5" will be written outside the radical sign.
So the answer will be
