Financial Emergency Under Article 360. If the President is satisfied that there is an economic situation in which the financial stability or credit of India is threatened, he or she can declare financial emergency. Such an emergency must be approved by the Parliament within two months. It has never been declared

1..if there is a internal crisis or 'civil war'like situation into the country.

2..if their is an external force threatening the sovereignty of the country.


3..if their is a breakdowns in the constitutional machinery of a particular state-in such a situation the President will impose PRESIDENT'S RULE in the affected state..


4...if their is a threat to the financial stability of the country
