A twin is one of two offspring produced in the same pregnancy.Twins can either bemonozygotic ("identical"), meaning that they develop from onezygotethat splits and forms twoembryos, ordizygotic("fraternal"), meaning that they develop from two eggs, each fertilized by separate sperm cells.
