Bassanio leaves to Belmont to marry Portia but for his transportation charges and other needs in traveling he had to meet in his journey. But for this he had no sufficient money to face all this. Because he is a spendthrift he spent all his money what he had. He asks his best friend Antonio but he spent all his wealth on his ships. So at finally they asked o money to shylock, the cruel jew who gives money to bassanio on the account of cutting flesh from Antonio's body, if at all Antonio doesn't pay back shylock's 3000 ducats within 3 months.
The title that would suit bassanio is a "lover ".
