Explanation:

The President uses his emergency powers when he/she perceives grave threats to the Nation, through the advice of Cabinet of Ministers. Emergency is of three types:

1. National Emergency : The President exercises his emergency powers in the event of imminent danger to the national security due to

i.) Armed rebellion

ii.) War

iii.) External Aggression

2. State Emergency : The President uses his emergency powers when the state government collapses and constitutional machinery fails in any state. The Governor and the President's representative of the state declares state emergency in the name of The President.

3. Financial Emergency : Financial Emergency is imposed by the President if he reckons Financial stability of the Country is in danger. It is declared if approved by the the parliament within two months of enforcement.
