Oxidation reaction becomes a combustion reaction when substance to be oxidised ,i.e, the reducing agent or reductant is a carbon compound(alkanes) or any fuel.
for example : CH4 + O2 = CO2 + H2O
here CH4 is alkane
for example : CH4 + O2 = CO2 + H2O
