Molality is defined as the no. of moles of solute per kilogram of solvent. Because the density of water at 25°C is around 1kg/litre thus the molality is approximately equal to molarity for dilute aqueous solutions at this temperature. Note : But at different temperature molalityand molarity will have different value.
