if a person or body can travel in 5m east and then turn 5m west then its resultant displacement will be zero

This can be in a situation when a body starts its journey on from a point and ends its journey on the same point .

For example if a person starts from point A and moves 5 m to point B and then comes back to point A

So the total distance covered by the person will be 10 m

But the displacement will be 0
