A body moving around the Earth following a great circle of the surface becomes weightless at the point where it is in a very low circular orbit. There, the effect of gravity is just sufficient to keep the object falling around the Earth,it is exactly sufficient to provide the centripedal force needed for a circular path at just above sea level, it appears neither to rise not to fall.
