Static electricity is an imbalance of electric charges within or on the surface of a material.


We encounter static electricity in daily life while walking, rubbing hands on hair, removing cap from head, etc.

Especially during winters when wearing sweater or woolen caps static electricity is common due to which our hair rises.


Talking about Environmental conditions Dry weather affects the occurence of static charge.

Static chrage build up is enhanced when the weather is dry so static problems are often noticed more in dry air of winter.

Static shocks will increase during dry weather condition of winters as compared to humid weather and Static shocks are worst under dry weather conditions.
