Under what special conditions, light does not travel in a straight line?

Riya2002: When it passes through , some medium like water , then it travels from rarer medium to denser medium , then it will change its bath and bends towards the normal.So at the surface of two media , light changes its direction

Conditions where light gets refracted and doesn't travel in straight line is when there is change in medium(ex.from air to water)
