Under which condition displacement will be equal to zero?

when an object comes back to its mean position... than displacement will be equal to zero


kritiks9: displacement will be 0 under the condition that .. if an objects starts and ends on the same point the displacement will be 0 for example an athlete running of a track he starts n ends on the same point hence displacement will be 0

when the initial and final posn. of the body is same the displacment will be 0.

eg.: If u are travelling along a circular track of r radius , which starts from posn A. and you rrach back the same point during some time , then in that case distance travelled will be 2 pie r .(equal to circumfrence of the track)

since the intial and final posn are the same displacmemt will be 0.
