Under the method of Quota sampling personal bias takes place.

  • Quota sampling represent a method of non-probability sampling, where sample involving individuals representing a population is generated by researchers. The entire population can be generalised by these selected samples.
  • Uncontrolled quota sampling does not place any limits on the choice of samples by the independent researcher. Here, at will, the researcher selects sample participants.
  • If the sample has been unselected by means of random selection, it is difficult to determine a potential sampling error.
  • The conscious choice of units to be properly used in the extensive survey can also be based on ease of access and cost considerations, resulting in bias.
