• It grants special status in terms of providing more funds for the development of the region apart from creating job opportunities for the people of the region. It also provides funds for the social welfare program of agricultural activities as the region’s soil is found to be very unfertile.
• It also funds for irrigation technique supplies in a quick mode. Attention from the government was lacking in this very region which was recovered after the grant of special status. However, it is the third most regions to be granted with special status. This grant of status proved favourable for Congress.
