=====================
Students usually get confused between possessive pronoun and possessive adjective.

A possessive adjective are those nouns which are intended their but in a different way as like of adjectives.

For ex- we gave him our telephone.

Here the word "our" is not as a noun. So, it is a possessive adjective.

A possessive pronoun are those which are indended to be same and used in a way similar to pronoun or object.

For ex- My car is cheaper but yours is expensive.

Here the word "yours" is a pronoun and is in a possessive state ..
