1st sentence:-

  • The poor man made the kite.

Here, made is verb and it is an active voice.

Explanation:-

In a sentence,if the subject is performing the action, then it is active voice.

Here, the poor man made the kite, subject is the poor man who had made a kite. So, as subject is performing the main action, that's why it is active voice.

2nd sentence:-

  • The young prince was crowned by the king.

Here, was crowned is the verb and it is in passive voice.

Explanation:-

In a sentence, when the subject is only receiving the action, but the action is being performed by the object, then it's a passive voice.

Here, The young prince was crowned by the king, subject is the young prince , the object is the king who crowned the prince. So it is a passive voice.

❖Hope this helps you!!
