Democracy is a form of government in which the people have the power to make decisions.

  • India is a sovereign, Socialist and secular republic.
  • The maintain challenges after democracy is illiteracy, poverty, gender discrimination, corruption,violence, casteism and regionalism.
  • Corruption is the basic problem in India.
  • In India democracy works on the principle of political equality.

First we need to know about what is Democracy :

  • It is a form of government in which the leaders are elected by the the people of that country .
  • in this form the government is for the people , by the people and to the people

The causes for continuation of democracy in India is :

  • because while Britain is ruling India Indiana people learned many things from them .
  • about equality , secularism , fertility , liberty , constitution and law
  • after 1880s educated middle class emerged in India they have the believe in modernization in society .
  • and Indian they do not want to give power in one hand .
  • because in monarchy the lower class , power people , women again started exploited .
  • for protecting from this democracy continue in India .
  • the leaders in 1900s were very educated like CR DAS , NEHRU , MK GANDHI , PATEL , BHAGAT SINGH , AMBEDKAR,  etc
  • they strongly believes in democracy
