• The people living in Britain mainly spoke English, Welsh, Scot, or Irish.
• In 1688, the Britishers took power from the monarchy.
• In 1707, the Act of Union was passed, which united Scotland and England to form the United Kingdom or the Great Britain.
• In Ireland, the Catholics comprised the population majorly and the Protestants were the minority. The Protestants were supported by Britain and they fought the war which was started by Wolfe Tone and United Irishmen.
• In 1801, Britain and Ireland were unified.
• The British flag "Union Jack", their national anthem "God save our Nobel king" and the English language were some symbols of the new United Britain.
