1. The process started in 1848 after failed effort of Frankfurt parliament. The initiative of the liberals were suppressed by the combined forces of Monarchy and Junkers.
2. The liberal revolution made clear that the unification required the combined efforts of the Monarchy, junkers, and military.Then in 1848 Prussia took the leadership under the Chief minister Ottovan Bismarck.
Bismarck fought 3 wars in 7 years with France, Austria and Denmark and won them. After this he completed the process of unification of Germany...
4. In 1871 Kaiser William was declared the king of united Germany.Hence, it was Bismarck who made this unification possible.
