it is because it's speed is constant and it's direction keep on changing , therefore it is an accelerated motion :)

When a body moves with constant speed in a circular path, it is said to be in a uniform circular motion.
In this case, though the speed of the body is constant as it moves, the direction keeps on changing tangentially. Here, magnitude of velocity is constant, but the direction of velocity changes as the direction of movement of the body changes.
Hence, change in velocity results in acceleration.
It is justified that a uniform circular motion of a body is an accelerated motion.
