Solution:
Distance = 30 Km
Distance = 30 Km
Speed = 60 Km/h
Speed = 40 Km/h
Time = = 30/60 = 1/2 hr × 60 min = 30 min
Time = = 30/40 = 3/4 hr × 60 min = 45 min
∴ Total time of the journey = (30 + 45)min = 75 min.
Average speed of the car = Total distance/Total time
- (30 + 30)/(30 + 45)
- 60/1.25
- 48
∴ Average speed of the car = 48 Km/h.
