Answer:

Problem Solving  is not a category in Gagne's learning hierarchy.

Explanation:

Gagne's learning hierarchy is an instructional design theory. Gagne's Hierarchy of Learning allows you to first identify measurable learning outcomes and plan your instruction for those outcomes without creating a learning hierarchy.  Robert Gauguin stated that learning conditions are primarily a means for individuals and groups to acquire skills relevant to social acceptance. He also describes the hierarchy of learning as follows - learning is a direct result of human behavior and is strongly influenced by the environment and individual thought processes of the learner.  Gagne's learning hierarchy has five main categories. That is, language information, thinking skills, cognitive strategies, motor skills and attitudes. The main importance of Gagne's learning hierarchy is to identify the prerequisites that must be met to facilitate learning at each level. Gauguin defined learning as a change in human talent or ability. This can be maintained and is not simply due to the growth process. There are eight types of learning hierarchies in Gagne: signal learning (classical conditioning), stimulus response learning (operant conditioning), chain learning, linguistic association, discrimination learning, conceptual learning, rule learning, and problem solving.  The concept of the theory was that teaching-learning activities should be arranged based on the mental abilities of the learner at each level of the learning hierarchy. Robert Gaggen's view on learning new abilities requires the pre-learning of the sub-abilities that are involved in the new abilities.
