A long time ago, people from different countries had different ways of measuring things, which made it harder for them to trade or business. People need to measure what they buy and exchange for them to prosper, but not having a common and correct way of measuring was a problem.

With the development in the field of science and technology, the need for a commonly accepted system of units is realized all over the world particularly to exchange scientific and technical information. Finally, scientists came up with "The International System of Units (SI, abbreviated from the French Système International d’Unités) is the modern form of the metric system that replaces all other existing ways we measure objects. It is the only system of measurement with official status in nearly every country in the world.

SI unit enables us to calculate easily by being a constant term of measurement throughout the world.
