Unity in diversity is a myth in India due to the reason that many religions and sects reside in India together. There are people with different religions and different ideologies who coexist however their mindsets are different. Religions tend to change perspective which is why they lead to conflicts rising among people. There are certain minorities that are treated differently too. In-fact, within the same religion of Hinduism, there are so many sects, like Kashtaryas, Brahmins, etc. They cannot be united because of such differences. There are incidences that indicate the conflicts in real life among such people and even when some issues come about, some people get sidelined on the basis of their diversity.
