Functional organisation

The principle of unity of command is violated under functional organisation . when a  worker or group of workers may have to receive order or orders from the line  of supervisor as well as the staff specialist which may result in confusion among the  workers and conflicting orders from multiple authorities may cause confusion and  disturbance . Some staff personal may impose direct orders to the workers misleading  them . Thus unity of command is violated among functional organisation . This type of organisational structure overcomes the disadvantages of pure line  organisational structure .
