Answer:
Unity is in happiness and mutual trust among people which is essential for a peaceful society. So if there is lack of unity then there will be fights,disturnance,anger and bitterness in social relation ,these.normally occur in religious,cultural and racial basis.
We need to accept people's religion, belief and practises then only there I'll be unity among whole nation and the development will become smooth and we can give good competition to other countries.

In light of that, efforts to bridge this ethnic divide since its independence reflects the wide-spread recognition of the need for national unity in Malaysia.
