universal acceptors are AB +ve/-ve because other blood groups corrode when provided with different blood groups but AB +ve/-ve blood groups have the capability of combining with another blood groups without getting corroded.

netster: may be it has two antigens and both are the dominant characters in blood and mostly other blood groups have only one antigen or dominant character so they can be easily accepted by any one
