universal adult franchise refers to the right of every citizen above the age of 18 years to vote without any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, religion, region, colour, sex or educational qualification. do you agree with this? give reason for your answer?

I agree with this statement.

As we know that a country is made up of its citizens and they different, have different goal to pursue in life, family background, financial background etc.

And every such citizen contributes to nation in their own way usually when they become an adult legally i.e of 18 years or above.

Hence I feel everyone should be given a fair chance to vote for their representatives without being discriminated on the basis caste, creed, religion, colour, sex etc.

In a democracy every citizen is equal. A democracy is of the people, for the people and by the people. This could work only if every citizen is free and able to choose the government they want. this could be achieved only if every citizen has a right to vote, which is guaranteed by universal adult franchise.

It also does not discriminate on the basis of social or economic backgrounds.  

That is why it is very important
