French revolution-
- The French government had the rule that only men with property could have political rights and say in the government.
- This was observed in the early 18th century, later there was a huge revolution later in this period.
- The French revolution changed the whole world dynamics and gave a lot of learnings to other countries. That's where the concept of liberal democracy came into existence.
- According to universal suffrage only men that too the ones with property had the right to vote and speak.
- All the other women and non-propertied were excluded from all sorts of political rights.
- Later, during Jacobin's rule, the French male population did enjoy suffrage and were given the right to vote, but however, this didn't last long. This again excluded the women from voting.
