Unpolarised light is incident on a polaroid. How would the intensity of transmitted light change when the polaroid is rotated

When Polaroid is rotated then the electric field along the perpendicular direction of the light propagation only passes out the Polaroid.....rest of the field is not.....so by this way only polarised light is transmitted....
Imagine it like the light passing through a rectangular slit.....so when it rotates light can pass ......the same principle apply here also...
Hope it helps....
Best of luck!!!!!
