Answer:

  1. Deepa recieves 0 candies from mother, Siya recieves 3 candies from mother and Jaya recieves 5 candies from mother.
  2. The mother was happy with with her daughter because she saw that they all cared and loved one another.
  3. Jaya felt happy as well because she saw that her sisters cared about one another. She was also happy to hear that she would get more candies.

Explanation:

1. Let total candies be x.

Deepa gets x/3 candies.

Remaining candies are,

= x - x/3

= 2x/3 candies.

Siya took 2x/9 candies

Remaining candies are,

= 2x/3 - 2x/9

= 4x/9 candies.

Jaya took 4x/27 candies

Remaining candies are,

= 4x/9 - 4x/27

= 8x/27 candies.

Now,

According to question,

8x/27 = 8

x = 27

Therefore, each daughters should receive x/3 candies

that is 9 candies each

Now,

Deepa had took x/3 candies that is 9 candies.

Siya had took 2x/9 candies that is 6 candies.

Jaya had took 4x/ 27 candies that is 4 candies.

Therefore,

Deepa recieves no more candies.

Siya recieves 3 more candies.

Jaya recieves 5 more candies.
