Up to Tipu Sultan’s rule, India was ahead in the world in the field of art, literature, education and science.

Tipu Sultan ruled over the Kingdom of Mysore for nearly 49 years. He made a lot of administration changes during his rule. Tipu was adept in rocket artillery. He entered into an alliance with the French commander-in-chief Napoleon Bonaparte along with his father Hyder Ali. He became an enemy of the British East India Company.

Tipu Sultan was also known as the Tiger of Mysore and Tipu Sahab.
