We can use the Law of constant proportions here.

The ratio of masses of magnesium to fluorine is constant. So,

 \frac{magnesium \: mass \: 1}{fluorine \: mass \: 1}  =  \frac{magnesium \: mass \: 2}{fluorine \: mass \: 2}

So, Mass of fluorine 2=1.25×2.56÷1.66

=1.92gms

Ans: 1.92 gms
