Dicot plants have a tap root system whereas monocot plants have a fibrous root system. Tap roots are much stronger and also hold on to the soil well. On the other hand, fibrous roots are quite weak and doesn’t hold on to the soil well. Therefore, it’s difficult to uproot a dicot plant than a monocot plant.

Hope it helps.
