upsc GM mustard has the genes of a soil bacterium that give the plant the property of pest-resistance to a wide variety of pests.

yes the gene is bargene from soil bacterium bacillus.... it synthesise the enzyme called PAT which provides tolerance to glufocinate which is a broad spectrum herbicide and this enzyme completely eleminate pests and weeds from the plants..
