Given:

a = -9.8 m

t = 2.6 s

vi = 0 m/s

Find:

d = ??

vf = ??

d = vi*t + 0.5*a*t2

d = (0 m/s)*(2.60 s)+ 0.5*(-9.8 m/s2)*(2.60 s)2

d = -33.1 m (- indicates direction)

vf = vi + a*t

vf = 0 + (-9.8 m/s2)*(2.60 s)

vf = -25.5 m/s (- indicates direction)

Answer:

Given : Acceleration a=9.8m/s^2, time t=2.60s and initial velocity u=0m/s

Using v=u+at

The final velocity, v=0+9.8(2.60)=25.48=25.5m/s
