Q.4. Draw a circuit diagram consisting of a battery of four cells each of 2V, a 2 ohm resistor,
4 ohm resistor and 6 ohm resistor, a plug key and an ammeter all connected in series.
Also connect a volumeter across 6 ohm resistor. Also find the current flowing in he circuit
(ammeter reading) and the potential difference across 6 ohm resistor (voltmeter reading).

Consider the attached figure while going through the following steps.

The total/equivalent resistance = R = 2 + 4 + 6 = 12 Ω

The total/equivalent voltage = V = 4 × 2 = 8 V

The current in the circuit = I = V/R = 8/12 = 2/3 A

The voltage across 6 Ω resistance

V = I × R

= 2/3 × 6

= 4 V
