Telangana Wildlife Board on Monday (Oct. 5) rejected the fresh proposal of Atomic Mineral Directorate for research and exploration for survey and exploration of Uranium in Amrabad Tiger Reserve. The board met over a web conference on Monday.
Telangana state forest department principal chief conservator of forest R Sobha confirmed to TOI that the Telangana forest department Uranium exploration fresh proposal in tiger reserve for wildlife clearance had not been recommended.
Telangana Forest department earlier rejected the forest clearance proposals for the same, and with this, the issue has gone to National Wildlife Board and Ministry of Forest and Environment at center.
