4 ohms and 6 ohms are in parallel So 4 parallel 6 equals 4*6/4+6 = 2.4 ohms which is in series with 1.6 ohms so 4 ohms resistance is now in parallel with another 4 ohms resistance so answer is 2 ohms thus .
