(i)...The term formula unit is used for those substances whose constituent particles are ions. The formula unit mass of a substance is the sum of the atomic masses of all the atoms in the formula unit of a compound.
(ii)..Cacl2.
Atomic mass of Chlorine(2)=35.5*2=71. Formula unit mass of CaCl2=40+71=111g.
(iii)Nacl
Atomic mass of Na= 23 g/ mol. Atomic mass of Cl=35.5 g/mol. Formula unit mass of Nacl: 23 + 35.5 = 58.5 g/mol
(ii)..Cacl2.
