Urgent! Pls answer it quickly coz I've a test tomorrow evening! My sir said in 3dz 2 orbital, there is no node as dz 2 is intermolecular axis so there is always the probability of finding the electron around the nucleus.....This means 4dz 2 or ndz 2 will have no nodes or only 3dz 2 will have no nodes? Is it an exception for 3dz 2 as there are 2 angular nodes in 3dz 2 according to the formula?
