∆ = 1/2 × 20×15

x²+25+10x=625

x²+10x-600=0

x²+30x-20x-600=0

x(x+30)-20(x+30)=0

(x-20)(x+30)=0

x is not equal to -30 because distance never negative

so the value of x is 20

2) Now area of triangle is 1/2(perpendicular)(base)

(1/2)(25)(20)

so the area is 250 sq.units
