Area of triangle AOD= Area of triangle BOC

Proof:-

Consider triangles ADB and BCA

They are on the same base and between the same parallels.

Therefore ar(triangle ADB) = ar(triangle BCA)

ar(triangle ADB) - ar(triangle AOB) = ar(triangle BCA) - ar(triangle AOB)

[Subtracting ar(triangle AOB) from both sides]

On doing so we get

ar(triangle AOD) = ar(triangle BOC)
