the perimeter of two squares are 40m and 96m respectively.find the perimeter of another square equal in area to the sum of the first two squares

perimeter of square 1 = 40

so, its side is 40 / 4 = 10 ⇒ its area = 10 × 10 = 100

perimeter of square 2 = 96

so, its side is 96 / 4 = 24  ⇒ its area = 24 × 24 = 576

the third square's area is the sum of first two squares.

so its area is 100 + 576 = 676

⇒ its side is √676 = 26

so, its perimeter will be 26 × 4 = 104

pls mark it the brainliest

Heya!!

Thanks for asking the question!

Answer : 104m

Explanation :

Given,

perimeter of 2 squares i.e 40 and 96 m respectively.

Side of first square = 40/4 = 10m

Side of second square = 96/4 = 24m

Area of first square = side × side = 10×10=100m^2

Area of second square = side × side = 24 × 24 = 576m^2

The required area of new square = 100 + 576 = 676m^2

Side of this new square = square root of 676
= 26m

Perimeter of this new square = 4 × side
= 4×26 = 104m

Hope it helps you : )
