\large {\green {\sf {\underline {\underline{Step-by-step \: Explanation}}}:-}}

Let the total number of flowers she had in the beginning.

According to the question,

x -  \frac{x}{2}  -  \frac{x/2}{2}  -  \frac{x / 4}{2}  = 3 \\  \\ x -  \frac{x}{2}  -  \frac{x}{4}  -  \frac{x}{8}  = 3 \\  \\  \frac{8x - 4x - 2x - x}{8}  = 3 \\  \\  \frac{x}{8}  = 3 \\  \\ x  = 3 \times 8 \\  \\ x = 24

Hence, the total number is flowers she had in the beginning is 24.
