Narrator Marga minco is a 'keen observer' of things:

The narrator of the story ‘The Address’ is Marga Minco. It is about the 'young girl'. she has gone back to her mother’s friend 'Mrs Dorling' to find her old belongings. The narrator’s family were Jews. After the war where Jews were persecuted by Hitler Nazi’s forces, the narrator felt safe enough to return to her place.

Mrs Dorling used to borrow the 'narrator’s mother’s belongings' and possessions like 'clothes', 'utensils', 'silver' for safe keeping in case their family needs to 'flee their house' protecting themselves from Nazis.

When the narrator sees Mrs Dorling, she remembered her aunt as she was wearing her mother’s cardigan but her aunt did not recognize her. The narrator explained her that she has come to see her mother’s belongings but her aunt claimed that she is not familiar with her family. The narrator returned with a heavy heart. She became worried about the missing things and she appreciated her keen observation.
