Uric acid gets deposited in small joints to produce

In people with gout, the uric acid level in the blood is so high that uric acidcrystals are deposited in joints and other tissues. This causes the jointlining (the synovium) to become inflamed. After several years, the uric acid crystals can build up in thejoint(s) and surrounding tissues.
